There are several options to visualise them.
Most convenient I think would be to plot field versus x-coordinate (as eg. matlab function plot(x,y) does) in particular time. The time could be controlled by slider and could be entered by value also.
Other option is the 3D surface plot, but the disadvantage is that it doesn't allow to read values precisely.
