The main new feature of release 1.13.0 was planned to be the support of replaceable classes by the OMEdit GUI, which has been missing for a long time, see #2079. Providing this feature required rewriting the API through which OMEdit communicates with the core OMC compiler, leveraging on the new front-end, that provides much faster response and thus improved usability for OMEdit in general. This development faced unexpected difficulties, which are finally being resolved, but which prevented the release of a stable version by the end of 2018. This feature is thus rescheduled for 1.14.0

Release 1.13.0 will provide many other new features, such as the integration in OMEdit of the OMSimulator environment for FMUs, daeMode integration directly using the IDA sparse DAE solver without causalization of the system into ODEs, and initial support for encryption of Modelica models. It also includes over 260 bugfixes, making it a much more stable and usable version than 1.12.0.

Non-critical issues that are still unresolved will be rescheduled to 1.14.0.
