Also the Modelica.Media library heavily depends on this.

I am putting this as a blocker for 1.14.0, once we have replaceable support this is really needed for Modelica.Fluid, and we don't need the new front end fully in place to get this going.
@adeas31, would it be possible to sneak this in 1.13.0 already? It shouldn't be hard to implement.

Is this on anyone's to-do list? For example, this is highly needed for the PNlib. It is cumbersome to use that library with an editor that does not support this annotation.
If there is some kind of backend support needed, I will try to help. But probably, this is more an OMEdit ticket, isn't it?
