Installer stops working when installing 1.5.0 RC3 on Windows XP

Description
When I tried to install OpenModelica 1.5.0 RC3 on my Windows XP machine I got the following message in the end of the installation process:
"The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2908."
When I press ok, I get the same error message over and over again. I needed to kill the installation process.
I am using Windows XP running Parallels Desktop under Mac OS X Leopard.
By the way, it is not possible to select version 1.5.0 RC3 in the "version dropdown" in the issue tracker.

I cannot reproduce this bug.
Since we build OpenModelica only one person had this problem,
and the problem was for any installation, not only OpenModelica.
I think he fixed it by reinstalling XP.
So I assume you cannot install anything anymore in that Windows XP.
It might be fixed by deleting a registry key. See here:
