#1889 closed defect (fixed)
Handle String and Integer operators in new instantiation

Description
Using the builtin String operator causes the new instantiation to fail. This seems unrelated to #1888 since no error message about the number of arguments is displayed, probably because String is *special*. This probably occurs with Integer too, and possibly spliceFunction, but I haven't checked those yet.

This ticket was not closed for 1.9.1, which has now been released. It was batch modified for milestone 1.9.2 (but maybe an empty milestone was more appropriate; feel free to change it).
