It seems that the indention for "instantiateModel" works not very well. When-equations are indented incorrectly (or not that nice). See below:

class test
  Real d(start = -2.0);
equation
  when sample(0.0, 1.0) then
  d = pre(d) + 1.0;
  end when;
end test;
