Problem in modifying / saving Modelica code in OMEdit

Reported by: dr.christian.kral@… Owned by: somebody
Priority: high Milestone: 1.11.0
Component: Interactive Environment Version: trunk
Keywords: overwrite Modelica code, save Cc: Adrian Pop

Description

I attached a model which calculates the inductances L11, L22 and L12 with OMEdit. The equation for calculating these inductances are wrong, however. When I try to correct the three parameter equations from

L11 = N1 * N1 / lFe / mur / Modelica.Constants.mue_0 / A
L12 = N1 * N2 / lFe / mur / Modelica.Constants.mue_0 / A
L22 = N2 * N2 / lFe / mur / Modelica.Constants.mue_0 / A

to

L11 = N1 * N1 / (lFe / mur / Modelica.Constants.mue_0 / A)
L12 = N1 * N2 / (lFe / mur / Modelica.Constants.mue_0 / A)
L22 = N2 * N2 / (lFe / mur / Modelica.Constants.mue_0 / A)

and save the file. The original code is restored and the parameter equations remain unchanged. I experienced this issue in the nightly built version r18087 under 32 bit Ubuntu 12.04.

One additional comment: I modified the previously attached sample file manually in an external Editor to correct the equations. I then loaded the file in OMEdit and I still see the wrong equations in the editor. The parentheses do not appear.

I experienced comparable issues.

There seems to be some heavy problems with interpreting and reformating the code!
Please fix this - I can't use OMEdit otherwise.

This ticket was not closed for 1.9.1, which has now been released. It was batch modified for milestone 1.9.2 (but maybe an empty milestone was more appropriate; feel free to change it).

The milestone of this ticket has been reassigned to "Future".

If you think the issue is still valid and relevant for you, please select milestone 1.13.0 for back-end, code generation and run-time issues, or 2.0.0 for front-end issues.

If you are aware that the problem is no longer present, please select the milestone corresponding to the version of OMC you used to check that, and set the status to "worksforme".
