Description (last modified by )
OMEdit grid lines are in principle very useful assist in drawing systems.
However in the current version of the program they are too visible: even though they are grey, once a system is drawn they jeopardise the visibility of the system since it is no immediate to distinguish model lines from grid lines.
In my opinion, the contrast between gridlines and system lines should be enhanced.
Possible ways:
- make gridlines dashed
- draw gridlines using a slightly lighter grey (as in Dymola)
The choice between these two options should be made looking at the aspect of some examples.
I would also recommend to render the choice between grid lines ON/OFF persistent (so if lines are visible when OMEdit is closed, they will be visible again at next session, and vice-versa)

I've checked: now gridlines do not create confusion with system lines.
Adeel, don't you like the idea of making persistent the choice about grid? I.e. whether to have it ON or OFF? (see last sentence of the ticket).

It doesn't make sense to keep closed ticket in the "Future" milestone that were simply forgotten to assign to the correct milestone in the past.

Removing the pre1.9.4 milestone in favor of 1.9.4.
Fixed in r23061.
I kept gridlines different from Dymola to give OM its on identity but people really live Dymola :).
