OMNotebook broken in Win 64bit

Reported by: Francesco Casella Owned by: Adeel Asghar
Priority: critical Milestone:
Component: OMNotebook Version: v1.10.0-dev-nightly
Keywords: Cc:

Description

Using the 1.10.0 nightly under Windows 64 bit, the OMNotebook editor is broken: as soon as I modify something in an input cell, the cell is emptied and/or the program hangs.

1.9.6 32 bit works normally, so I guess it's some problem with 64 bit QT libraries.

I don't know if this is related (probably not), but I just installed yesterday's 64bit nightly (OpenModelica-v1.10.0-dev-681-ge62685d-64bit), and after installation the OMEdit executable (and possibly others) was missing in /bin, is this also the case in your install?

By the way, what's up with the versioning numbers? I installed a nightly build, OpenModelica-v1.10.0-dev-527-g39b1854-64bit.exe, but the version reported in the "About OMEdit" dialog for OpenModelica is "OpenModelica v1.10.0-dev-438-g6ed3a54", not -527- as expected? (Additionally, OMEdit is at dev-112, but I guess that can't be avoided)
The exe and the version info not being in sync makes it pretty complicated to keep track of which versions worked well or contain specific fixes (or not).
Should I report this as a separate issue?

It's not related to this bug.
Perhaps something went wrong in your installation. Create a separate ticket about it and set the component to "Installation program".

Thanks. I'll check first with another nightly build when I have some time (I'm assuming you talk about the disappeared exe here).

btw, what I meant with "report in another issue" is the disparity in version numbering.

The OpenModelica nightly build version number should match with OpenModelica version number you see in the about window. I talked with Adrian and he will fix it. The OMEdit version number is always different.

comment:6 by Adrian Pop, 9 years ago

The versioning number of the OpenModelica installation executable should now be the hash of OMCompiler not the one on OpenModelica glue project. See #3935.
