OMEdit Linux doesn't show menu bar anymore

Reported by: Bernhard Thiele Owned by: Adeel Asghar
Priority: high Milestone: 1.11.0
Component: OMEdit Version: v1.11.0

Description

Since a few days my menu bar in OMEdit is gone in the nightly builds (probably due to QT5 migration).

I currently have Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS running OMEdit updated to the latest nightly build (2016-10-24). See the attached screen shot.

This seems to be an Ubuntu-specific bug, see e.g. this bug report. OMEdit works just fine for me on ArchLinux now.

Removing appmenu-qt5 as indicated in the bug report above fixes the issue for me. Thanks.

Since the bug seems to be Ubuntu-specific I will close this issue.

Btw. what does "impact: not found" mean?
I thought it only shows up in my rudimentary build. But it also seems to be in the nightly!???
