Description (last modified by )
If I'm not mistaken, OM simulator (used from OMEdit) does not allow connecting Modelica blocks and FMUs.
However, I discovered that it is still possible to do this the old way: you just load FMUs, and create Modelica models in which you combine modelica blocks with FMUs.
This is very useful for the Modelica user, since it allows straightforward verification of the just created FMUs, in a well familiar way. You can even use FMUs just as they are modelica blocks in a cyber-physical modelica model.
I decided to post this ticket is because I fear that there are plans to remove this possibility.
As a heavy OM user I strongly recommend to keep this feature option of combining Modelica blocks (and cyber-physical models) and FMUs in the 1.14 release.
After all this does not require any programming effort!

Retargeted to 1.18.0 because of 1.17.0 timed release.
Releasing 1.14.0 which is stable and has many improvements w.r.t. 1.13.2. This issue is rescheduled to 1.16.0
