We made the NF default for 1.14 but the state machines do not work yet with the NF which is a bit strange. I guess we should start looking into this.

Ops. Well, we have the fallback option in OMEdit to handle those cases. I'd say this makes it a blocker for 1.16.0

@perost, we discussed this in today's OSMC Board meeting and decided to raise the priority of this task, once you're done with conversion scripts.
@adrpo mentioned that there is a paper by himself and Bernhard Bachmann about how to do it, and that porting from the old to the new frontend should be relatively straightforward, you should coordinate with him to do that for 1.18.0.
