Description
This is a ticket for discussion and implementation of encryption/decryption for OpenModelica.
See below some of the discussion from the OSMC board.
RF: The encryption of user models is a functionality is of increasing interest.
LM: Our goal is to mix encrypted libraries with MSL in usage.
PF: Leo G expressed interest in encryption of their commercial libraries, to ship together with OpenModelica.
AP, PF: AP will open an enhancement ticket for encryption (done, this one). Even better to bring this up within the Modelica Association so that it can be done in a more standardized way. See: https://trac.modelica.org/Modelica/ticket/1282
PF: We can also have obfuscation to hide it even more.
RF: Even a simple annotation not to show the equation view would be valuable.
Proposal: Investigate encryption as a future enhancement.
