#4277 assigned defect
Add the documentation of the Git feature in OMEdit

Description
The documentation of the Git feature in OMEdit currently missing. It should be added before the next release.
I would also suggest to explain clearly if it is possible to use both the Git feature and the git command line (or TortoiseGIT) tools without messing up. I guess so, and this also seems a reasonable requirement, but I'm not sure if the current implementation allows it.

The Git features are disabled for now. So we don't have to take care of the documentation until it is enabled.

OK, sorry, I was looking at the development version. So, this becomes a blocker for 1.13.0.

@alash325, is the GIT feature activated in 1.13.0? If so, please add the documentation to the master and 1.13.0-dev-beta1 branch. If not, please reschedule to milestone 1.14.0 or 2.0.0

The GIT feature is still disabled so I am moving this ticket to 1.14.0

Not really a blocker as long as the option is disabled

Releasing 1.14.0 which is stable and has many improvements w.r.t. 1.13.2. This issue is rescheduled to 1.16.0

Retargeted to 1.18.0 because of 1.17.0 timed release.
Can this be taken care of for 1.12.0? Nothing fancy, but we can't leave this option completely undocumented, it is too dangerous to use revision control by trial and error.
