#6309 new defect

Font size of text in info box too small when dispayed in modern screens

Reported by: massimo ceraolo Owned by: Adeel Asghar

Component: OMEdit Version: v1.17.0-dev

Description

Modern screens often use scaling factors for fonts, to avoid too small font sizes in mm at equal DPIs. 150% or more is common nowadays.

It seems to me that the text in the info blocks of OpenModelica does not take into account these scaling factors. In Qt this happens when size is chosen in pixels instead of points.

We already discussed this in #5290. Apparently there are still some unresolved issues.

Which info boxes are you referring to? Need some more information.

the Documentation Browser.
There text written with default font is very small on high screen displays.

Sorry for not using the right name in the description.

BTW, it's always been very small anyway, even on low-res screens.
