Description
It seems to be good practice in Modelica to organize multiple parameters in records and just chose one out of many records to fully setup a component.
Since two weeks or so, there is in OMEdit right of the parameter input box a button with [...]
. I assumed that with that button I can select one of the records like in Dymola.
But instead, I can select where I like to save the model file. This is weird!

@janK, I'm not sure exactly what are you asking for. Do you mean that instead of typing the name of the record instance in the model, you'd like to get it from some menu?

The button with ...
is still there and is used for Selector
annotation. See Annotations for the Graphical User Interface for more details.
See also #comment:1:ticket:3626. Maybe we should close #3626 as the actual problem reported in that ticket is fixed and use this ticket to add GUI support for editing of records. Perhaps you also want to add a test case.
The button with the ... is gone in the current version. @adeas31: should we close this ticket now, or do you still want to add the possibility to choose records conveniently?
