#5708 new defect

OM erroneously prompts saving options in annotations

Reported by: ceraolo Owned by: adeas31
Priority: high Milestone: 2.0.0
Component: OMEdit Version:
Keywords: Cc:

Description

The Simulation Setup dialog in it is bottom declares it allows to "Save experiment annotation inside model ie., experiment annotation"

Unfortunately, this is not always true.
For Instance, OM cannot save the state of "Store Variable ad Events" (in the Output page of simulation setup) through annotations, probably because no annotation exists to do so.

This is confusing and I think should be corrected for 2.0.0 release.

Probably the Simulation Setup options must be rearranged in tabs in such a way that options not having annotations to store them inside models are grouped together in a tab for in which it is not proposed to the user to "Save experiment annotation inside model ie., experiment annotation".

As an alternative, the grouping of options can left as it is, but the options which can be saved through annotations are made visually distinguishable, for instance through bold or italic style, and the check-box could say:
"Save experiment annotation written in bold (italic) inside model ie., experiment annotation"
